Canted Both exciting and soothingly melodramatic, Stories and Fictions has songs which fit every mood, and is a refreshing section of chamber-pop music. I have been a fan of this album for years, and bought as soon as I knew I could. My daily monotony is brightened with a colorful blend of string orchestral and electric guitar, which this album uses both cleverly and beautifully. This album has been in my personal playlist for years, and I'm glad it exists. Thank you for making this. Favorite track: Storytellers.

AnnaLea 03:05
Cells divide and bodies grow, and objects under microscopes, with careless words, combine to form new shadows that we've learned to call our (Home) is where our hearts hardened. We weathered storms that blow us on. We grit our teeth in full retreat. New habits form to make us feel complete. The sights and smells, they come back fast, but names and words fade into the past. AnnaLea, you deserve much more than this. Shadows are not the place to live forever. Models will show us rolls to fill, and after while we all rebel; to make a point and to carve our name, and to make our mark on the place from which (We came) into our own conditions while executing our separate missions to read the words that our parents wrote, and strive while paralyzed to stay afloat. Living in this ordinary world is extraordinary when viewed against the back drop of alternatives. You and I will be just fine, this I promise you, in spite of what we fear we will become.

She said she'd been waiting so long; waiting for the sun to come and spread some light all around. And it's been longer than I'd like to admit since I felt the warming light coming down on my head. She said," Let us raise our glasses. Let us make a toast to teeth of friendly smiles that we've found." So we circle around the sun; two spaceships traveling as one. We won't know why were searching until we find it. She said she wondered what the stars thought, and she swore that when she closed her eyes she heard them laughing. So we stared at constellations, pointing out the shapes we traced, connecting dots with our fingers. And she said that she'd been waiting so long; waiting for the one who'd come and spread some love all around. So we're sailing around the bend; an armada of closest friends. We won't know why were searching until we find it

Storytellers 02:46
All my friends are storytellers. Everything is make believe. And nobody wants to believe it, but none of us know anything. So write it down right now. Do I have to spell it out? We'll spin into the ground when we get it all figured out in due time. We've got buildings drawn without straight lines; epitaphs for symmetry. And flaming ends of cigarettes burning bright like effigies. So write it down right now. Do I have to spell it out? We're spinning to the ground and we'll get it all figured out in due time. Everyone has tales to tell and everyone sings such sad songs. No one seems to understand that everyone else sings along. And you know, I think that if I'd known, I might have just stayed back home. All my friends are storytellers. Everything is make believe. And nobody wants to believe it, but none of us know anything. So write it down right now. Do I have to spell it out? We're spinning to the ground, now we got it all figured out in due time.

These are the days when abiding is living, and scratching out silhouettes means nothing at all. These are the nights we'll spend dancing and singing. With the stereo on voices bounce off the wall. And these are the times when it's hard to hold on. These are the days.

Take Hold 02:51
Take Hold. The needle's singing love songs, and time keeps playing out. Take hold . The needle's singing love songs and time keeps playing over and over again. Take care. This room is made of curtains, and I hear everything. Take care. This room is made of curtains, and I hear everything over and over again.

I woke up today in a daze, frightened by the rain and thunder. The cats are acting strange again. A storm is forming out yonder. Will it take me as it goes? Will it take me as it passes? Is there anyone who knows? I am shaking when the cat says, "No." I made my way back to the house on the beach. Where the waves crash up right into the screen door. I fell back asleep with my head 'neath the sheets, and I woke up in shock to the sound of the downpour. Will it take me as it goes? Will it take me as it passes? Is there anyone who knows? I am trembling when the cat says, "No."
